Magic of Math

I just got a forward email from my best friend. It's title is Magic of Math. I think it might be an interesting topic. So here's what the forward email contains of ...

0 x 9 + 0 = 0
1 x 9 + 1 = 10
12 x 9 + 2 = 110
123 x 9 + 3 = 1110
1234 x 9 + 4 = 11110
12345 x 9 + 5 = 111110
123456 x 9 + 6 = 1111110
1234567 x 9 + 7 = 11111110
12345678 x 9 + 8 = 111111110
123456789 x 9 + 9 = 1111111110

1 x 1 = 1
11 x 11 = 121
111 x 111 = 12321
1111 x 1111 = 1234321
11111 x 11111 = 123454321
111111 x 111111 = 12345654321
1111111 x 1111111 = 1234567654321
11111111 x 11111111 = 123456787654321
111111111 x 111111111 = 12345678987654321

1 x 8 + 1 = 9
12 x 8 + 2 = 98
123 x 8 + 3 = 987
1234 x 8 + 4 = 9876
12345 x 8 + 5 = 98765
123456 x 8 + 6 = 987654
1234567 x 8 + 7 = 9876543
12345678 x 8 + 8 = 98765432
123456789 x 8 + 9 = 987654321

1 x 18 + 1 = 19
12 x 18 + 2 = 218
123 x 18 + 3 = 2217
1234 x 18 + 4 = 22216
12345 x 18 + 5 = 222215
123456 x 18 + 6 = 2222214
1234567 x 18 + 7 = 22222213
12345678 x 18 + 8 = 222222212
123456789 x 18 + 9 = 2222222211

1 x 142857 = 142857 (same number)
2 x 142857 = 285714 (same number with different order)
3 x 142857 = 428571 (same number with different order)
4 x 142857 = 571428 (same number with different order)
5 x 142857 = 714285 (same number with different order)
6 x 142857 = 857142 (same number with different order)
7 x 142857 = 999999

If you times any number by 9 and sum the result, you will get "9".
1 x 9 = 9
2 x 9 = 18; 1 + 8 = 9
3 x 9 = 27; 2 + 7 = 9
4 x 9 = 36; 3 + 6 = 9
And so on ...

22 x 9 = 198, the fast way to count is 2 x 9 = 18, then put 9 in the middle, so it is 198.
33 x 9 = 297; 3 x 9 = 27, put 9 in the middle, so it is 297
44 x 9 = 396
55 x 9 = 495
66 x 9 = 594
77 x 9 = 693
88 x 9 = 792
99 x 9 = 891

How about triplet numbers? It's the same method, but instead of 9 you put 99 in the middle.
222 x 9 = 1998; 2 x 9= 18, put 99 in the middle, so it is 1998
333 x 9 = 2997
444 x 9 = 3996
555 x 9 = 4995
666 x 9 = 5994
777 x 9 = 6993
888 x 9 = 7992
999 x 9 = 8991

There they go. Enjoy!

Heh, that's not math. Thats just numbers. The patterns are pretty though.

I don't mind at all. It's a forward email at the first place. Just thought it might be interesting. =P
